About Us

Making biodiversity conservation a social norm.

At Biome Inc., we aim to create a society where biodiversity conservation is the norm, challenging ourselves to “turn environmental conservation into business.” Leveraging our unique big data and visualization technologies related to biodiversity, we connect science and society to build and operate platforms that achieve biodiversity conservation.

What We Do

1. Development and Operation of Biodiversity-Related Products

We self-develop and self-operate multiple services specialized in the biodiversity field. Notably, our “Biome” app, which has surpassed 1.3 million downloads, accumulates daily biological observation data from users, forming one of Japan’s largest real-time biodiversity distribution big data sets, driving society and business.

2. Nature Positive Projects with Diverse Stakeholders

Utilizing Biome’s proprietary biodiversity distribution big data and advanced analytical technologies, we promote projects aimed at achieving nature positive outcomes with various partners, including corporations and government agencies.
We have a proven track record of project planning with over 170 companies and more than 60 municipalities and government agencies. Amidst the global trend towards nature positive, our initiatives are expanding at an accelerating pace.

Project Examples

  • Collection and analysis of natural capital data for TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures)
  • Support for creating business opportunities in nature positive initiatives (consulting and implementation support)
  • Data provision and reporting for policy formulation
  • Design and implementation of citizen/customer-participatory biological survey projects, etc.
