Crisis in the Jungle

Biome Inc. started due to a sense of crisis. When CEO Shogoro Fujiki was at university, he spent more than two years camping and conducting research on the island of Borneo (Malaysia and Indonesia).
This area – a treasure trove of life on par with the Amazon – was also at the forefront of environmental destruction. When he saw commercial oil palm trees stretching 360 degrees to the horizon, he realized that the future of this planet was at stake. It was where 70 meters tall tropical trees and many wild animals were supposed to be present.
